Hong Kong

Hong Kong has 5000 years of Chinese culture and only 150 years of colonial rule. The gateway to China, Hong Kong has lost none if its appeal since the hand over in 1997. Hong Kong Island, the birth place of the former British colony offers a spectacular skyline, while a Star Ferry ride across the magnificent harbour brings you to vibrant Kowloon, offering a fascinating mix of streets, malls and markets.

Getting there

Hong Kong receives direct flights from around the world. There is a dedicated rail link, the Airport Express that offers the quickest route to the city in just 24 minutes. The MTR system offers connections to all parts of the city. We can arrange for you to be met on arrival at Hong Kong International Airport and transferred to your chosen accommodation.

A Guide to Hong Kong

Enjoy fantastic views of the Hong Kong skyline from Victoria Peak, reached via the Peak Tram. Shop in the vibrant, neon-lit streets of Kowloon, or the smart shopping centres in Casueway Bay. Visit the fishing village of Aberdeen for Stanley Market. Enjoy a ride on the Star Ferry that links Kowloon with Hong Kong Island. Take the cable-car to outlying Lantau Island, one of 260 outlying islands, for panoramic views.

When to go

November to February is a good time to visit, when humidity is at its lowest with little rainfall and generally sunny weather. The rainy season tends to be June to August and the hottest months are July to September when the temperature can reach 35.
